Initial Consultation

I strive to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for my clients from the very beginning. When you reach out to me, I am happy to offer a free 20 minute introduction to get to know you, and understand what you’re looking for in therapy. I want to make sure that we're a good fit for each other, so you may have prepared a set of questions you’d like to ask me.

If we decide to go ahead, this is an overview of what happens next:

  • Questionnaire - to find out your preferences.
  • Contract- (to complete before the Initial consultation).
  • Initial Consultation- this will be arranged at a time that suites (Fee £75 for 1hr 30mins payable before)

This will help me learn more about your personal experiences, and your world view. I would like to know what is important to you? Is it race, ethnicity, gender, or identity? What do I need to be mindful of?

By understanding the bigger picture of your life, including your work-life balance, hobbies, and personal interests, we can tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs. My goal is to create a safe, and supportive space, online where you can explore thoughts and emotions without fear of judgement.

My Approach

If you decide to work with me, you can expect a warm and compassionate approach to therapy. I am committed to helping you build resilience, improve your self-esteem, and cultivate positive relationships. I believe everyone has the potential for growth and change, and I am here to support you on your journey towards a healthier and happier life.

Person Centred and Integrative

My main approach to being a counsellor and psychotherapist, means offering a person- centred approach. This means that our work together is focused on you and led by you. Finding out what you want from therapy is important. A person-centred approach is based on the idea that you have the capacity to grow and change in a positive way, and you also have the power to do so.

Integrative counselling and psychotherapy just means that I treat each client as an individual, with unique experiences and specific needs. After learning about you and your experiences, I will tailor any approaches we use in sessions, so you can achieve your goals and fulfil your potential.

Approaches I draw upon

The approaches I draw upon in our sessions together depend on you, your circumstances and your specific needs and goals. I may draw upon the following:

  • Cognitive Behavioural (CBT)
  • Humanistic
  • Integrative
  • Person-Centred
  • Psychodynamic

For more information about how my role as a counsellor and psychotherapist can help you, or to arrange an appointment, please get in touch.

I work online and can reach anywhere in the UK, including but not limited to the areas of Keighley, Bingley, Bradford, Leeds and Skipton.
