Brighter Days offers a space and time for you to grow and heal

Hi I am Valerie the creator of ‘Brighter Days VC Counselling and Wellness.’ I am an accredited, member of NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) and I use an Integrative approach with a Person-Centred focus.

I work with individual adults, on a short term or long term basis. I work online or by telephone, whichever works best for you, and can reach anywhere in the UK, including but not limited to the areas of Keighley, Bingley, Bradford, Leeds and Skipton. I can help with a range of challenges you may be facing, including anxiety, trauma, identity, grief, loss, stress or depression.

Counselling/Psychotherapy gives you the space and time to focus on you. It will be important for us to find out together what your needs are, and where to begin, so you can learn to manage your emotions. Reaching out may be daunting, but it is your first brave step towards making sense of your feelings, and finding ways to move forward in your life.

How can counselling and psychotherapy help?

Counselling and psychotherapy provides you with a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for you to express yourself freely. I am here to listen intently, and offer you my utmost compassion and empathy.

Together, we can work towards achieving your goals and fulfilling your potential. I can help you find ways and strategies to manage your emotions, and deal with any challenges that come your way. Please know that I am not here to "fix" you, but to offer you support and fresh perspectives, so that you can better understand yourself and the challenges you are facing.

By working together, we can help you gain self-awareness and discover the answers that lie within you. You are not alone in this journey, and I am here to help you every step of the way.

My location

Online:

We can work together online, and through this I can reach anywhere in the UK, including but not limited to the areas of Keighley, Bingley, Bradford, Leeds and Skipton. This may be a more convenient option to fit in around your schedule.

Telephone:

I am also able to work with you over the telephone. This may be a preferred option if you feel uncomfortable with face to face counselling online, yet still need some support. In either case, being confidential and working ethically is vital to ensuring we have trust and honesty in the relationship we build. A contract for online and telephone practice will be sent out to you, once we have agreed to work together.

Fees

  • Free initial 20 minute phone/video intro to see if we can work together
  • Initial Consultation – 1hr 15 minutes = £75
  • Sessions thereafter - 50 minutes= £65

If, for any reason, you need to cancel a session, please give 48 hours’ notice to avoid being charged in full for the session.

Availability

  • Monday 4pm - 8pm
  • Tuesday 10am – 6pm
  • Wednesday 10am- 8pm
  • Thursday 10am – 8pm
  • Saturday 8am-12pm

Please note, I do have some flexibility in my availability and how sessions can be booked, for example fortnightly or block bookings.
